The Calvin B. Taylor House in Berlin, Maryland was built in 1832 by Issac Covington, whose family lived there through the 1860's. Calvin B. Taylor, founder of the Taylor Bank, purchased the house in 1893 and lived there with his wife until his death in 1932. The main block of this carefully restored house has been furnished as a house museum and the west wing as a gallery displaying local memorabilia. The museum's collections depict small town life on Maryland's Eastern Shore in the 1800's through the early 1900's. |
